Matthew Huggett (Director)

Matthew studied at the Royal Academy of Music and sang in the choir of Jesus College Cambridge. His professional singing career began as a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal and he has appeared on ITV's "Psalms of David" with James Galway and sung solo live on BBC Radio 3.

He founded Cantus Firmus to perform early sacred repertoire, but later developed interests in opera and early classical music with Cantus Firmus Consort and Players. They have appeared at the annual Utrecht Early Music Festival for nearly 20 years.
